Things to do this Spring in Liberty County
As spring rapidly approaches, we’re all looking for something to do! We’re tired of sitting at home, and we’ve realized that Netflix can only keep us entertained so long! So we’ve put together a list of some of our favorites to keep you busy as the weather turns warm, the flowers bloom and the tress turn green!
- Participate in Small World Adventures with the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority on Saturday, March 13 from 10am-1pm at Bryant Commons. This drive thru, COVID friendly event will surely get your little ones talking & the spirit of adventure will take hold in a flash. Find out more by clicking here. - Go on a Date Night! Drop littles off at the YMCA Liberty County for Freedom Friday and go grab a couple of seats at Zum Rosenhof, our authentic German restaurant in downtown Hinesville! - Go for a walk in the sunshine & head out to Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center in Midway. This beautiful location is rich in biological diversity, housing a variety of trees, flowers, birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects. There are multiple interpretive signs that go into detail about the wildlife. The trail takes you through the wetlands to a 15-foot observation tower for a bird’s eye view of the surrounding area!
- Visit Jones Creek Park & don’t forget your fishing pole! This hidden gem on the Isle of Wight in Midway includes a fishing area, public landing for small boats, playground and seating for twenty. It’s a picture-perfect spot to spend the day, whether you go out onto the water or stay on shore.
